Inter Milan center-back Yann Bisseck revealed his confidence following an impressive 4-0 win over Royale Union SG last night.

Interviewed by UEFA via FCinter1908, the German defender reviewed Inter’s performance at Lotto Park.

Yann Bisseck made his second consecutive start in the Champions League yesterday, helping Inter keep another clean sheet.

Indeed, Cristian Chivu’s men have yet to concede in the league phase this season, winning all three matches ‘to nil.’

In addition to shutting out Royale Union, the 24-year-old played a crucial role in Inter’s opening goal.

He headed the ball down for Denzel Dumfries, who sneaked it past Kjell Scherpen to put Inter in front in the 41st minute.

Moreover, Dumfries’ goal turned the tide, setting the tone for Inter’s phenomenal victory in Brussels.

Meanwhile, recent speculation about his potential winter exit seems to have no influence on Bisseck.

Instead, the ex-Arhus defender remains fully focused on helping Inter stay on the upward trajectory.

“In the first 15 minutes, we were struggling,” Bisseck admitted. “After getting past that phase, we played very well.

“We did exactly what we wanted to do, so we can be happy with this match. As a defender, keeping a clean sheet is always a satisfying accomplishment.

“We knew they would be highly motivated. This was an important match for them.

“They did a great job, especially in the first 15 minutes, and we were a bit surprised.

“We didn’t underestimate them, but it took us some time to give our best on the pitch.

“After that, we did a good job. If Union continues to play like this, I think they can make a mark.”

Then, he urged his teammates to stay the course as they aim to produce another memorable Champions League campaign.

“We’ve had very successful Champions League seasons over the past two years, so we know what we’re capable of,” Bisseck added.

“If we continue like this, the knockout stage should be within our sights.

“We are proud to be solid in defense, so we need to keep playing like this to achieve great success.”
