Napoli head coach Antonio Conte engaged in a minor exchange with Inter Milan star Denzel Dumfries during Saturday’s Serie A game.

According to DAZN via FCInter1908, the former Nerazzurri manager attempted to provoke the Dutch wingback near the touchline.

The Partenopei ended their four-game winless run against the San Siro giants in Serie A under controversial circumstances.

Indeed, referee Maurizio Mariani came under fire for awarding Napoli a non-existent penalty in the first half.

That moment tipped the balance scales in the home side’s favor, resulting in Inter’s first defeat since mid-September.

Tensions escalated as the game drew to a close.

Furthermore, Antonio Conte heightened the confrontation by accusing Dumfries of diving.

“Stay on your feet. You threw yourself down, didn’t you?” Conte reportedly told the 29-year-old.

Meanwhile, Inter captain Lautaro Martinez interfered, trying to defend his teammate.

Despite having previously worked together at San Siro, Conte and El Toro were at odds on the pitch.

Indeed, there was a heated altercation between the two, with voices raised and gestures exchanged.

However, officials intervened to calm the situation.
