Petar Sucic replaced Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the starting lineup as Inter Milan humbled Fiorentina 3-0 at home last night.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, Sucic made the Armenian’s absence go unnoticed.
Inter Milan lost Henrikh Mkhitaryan to a thigh injury in Saturday’s 3-1 loss to Napoli.
Therefore, Cristian Chivu had a decision to make on Wednesday, selecting Petar Sucic over Piotr Zielinski.
It proved a wise choice as the 21-year-old excelled on his return to the starting XI.
Petar Sucic Makes Mkhitaryan Absence Unnoticed in Inter Milan 3-0 Fiorentina

Zielinski failed to live up to the billing after taking Mkhitaryan’s place at the Maradona Stadium last weekend.
As such, Chivu’s decision to bench the Polish star in favor of the Croatian starlet was merely surprising.
However, little did anyone expect Sucic to make such a difference against a disciplined Fiorentina side.
In addition to opening his Nerazzurri account with a superb solo goal, Sucic dominated the midfield with vision, precision, and composure.
Alongside Hakan Calhanoglu, he was Inter’s X-Factor last night.

Marko, it was just against Fiorentina…one of the weakest team in Series A.
I would agree with ” …made the Armenian’s absence go unnoticed ” after his games against AC Milan or Atletico.
Sucic is good player and perharps with bright future , but today he is not even close to be compaired with Mhiki.
Love mkhi but atleast Sucic has decision making in the final third… something mkhi lacks nowadays
We are judging player based on their impact and role he was designed to play in any particular game.
