With Mo Salah believed to be close to Liverpool, Roma are on the lookout for a replacement. Eusebio Di Francesco, the man expected to become the next Giallorossi manager has told the Roma hierarchy that he wishes to sign Domenico Berardi. Berardi is a long term target for Inter.

I swear if we lose out on Berardi this transfer window I will be furious. We need to start making deals for players. Get in Berardi and Rudiger, and make a god damn bid for either Conti or Darmian (yes Spalletti has played Rudiger at RB before but we need a proper RB who will do overlapping runs). Once we have sorted out the defence we can then have the luxury of trying to get replacements for Brozovic and Banega (Brozovic must go. I have had enough of his shitty attitude and inconsistent play).
How about we go for salah? he is better than all out targets. Can make a deadly duo with Icardi like dzeko.
We used have chance but we end up with podolski
I’d pay 40 or even 50 for salah rather then bernadeschi
Would make sense.
Candreva wont be benched anyways, so no room for Berardi at Inter.
It will be interesting to see what Candreva can do next season with Spalletti, a coach who surely dont just want Candreva to cross constantly like it was Piolis masterplan.
Crossing is the only thing he can do, he should be on the bench.
Well, this was the case when Icardi plays, but when Eder played instead of him, those crosses almost disappeared. Our attack strategy was very weak which left no room for Candreva but to cross
I’m worried that Candrevas cababilities of challenging 1 vs 1 situations has gone.. He ain’t a young player anymore and it seems that this season already he would rather cross aimlessly to the box or pass backwards.
Berardi could already deliver that and more in my opinion, plus he is an Interista. We should sign him. offer Caprari loan + money.
we are going to let him go to Roma where he, of course, will becoming a stud!
And then, we’ll bring him to Milan with the help of Suning and when he’s ready to take on a starting spot which he isn’t right now, besides preference Bernardeschi to him right now…
He could already deliver the aimless crosses that Candreva has been putting to the box every fking game… =/ Candreva either crosses or passes the ball backwards, its so annoying. And when he had a bad period of games this season, we had no-one to deploy instead of him..
Berardi wouldn’t be an upgrade if you’re looking for a better crosser than Candreva that’s for sure. Berardi is very talented and one day maybe he’ll be a very good winger/striker. But he’s very one-footed and ONLY uses his left foot. He drops into the center all the time from the right and doesn’t seek the cross at all which is rather predictable- he’s like a “cheap” Robben. Still, very young (23I think) and has great potential.
If we want to play with a striker who doesn’t track much back but who cuts in side and is dangerous with his left foot he (or Gabigol) could be the answer, but if we want a crosser Candreva’s the man – he simply needs a target to hit in the box. Icardi has been told to work more out side the box meaning he really isn’t always to find in the box, plus he isn’t a real “target man” like Dzeko….
I’m just sick of Candrevas crosses that A) Either hit the first defender or B) Go nowhere near Icardi, who is alone in the box… I don’t know Candrevas exact statistics this season regarding his crosses but it sure feels like maybe 2/10 connect our players. I think that Berardi can deliver that with his shitty right foot also. 😀 But he would easily offer more threat on 1 vs 1 situations. And if we manage to buy a decent RB, Berardis cutting inside would free more space in the flank.
Candreva does deliver well in the defensive part of the game, when he is on the mood to defend. But still I see an ideal scenario, where Berardi starts +20 games and Candreva the rest, slowly fading.
