Kevin Strootman, who has recently renewed his contract until 2022 with Roma, and Inter Milan‘s transfer target has shut down all rumors about his future:
“I’m leaving in a quiet holiday because I signed with Roma until 2022 and it was what I wanted. Nothing more to say, I had a good season and I am serene.”

Good, I’m glad he is not coming. He is way too injury prone.
He is NOT injury prone. Being injury prone means you are prone to injuries in general, this is not the case with strootman, i dont know where this myth comes from. He he has never been “prone” to injuries before Roma either.
He had ONE knee injury that cost him almost 2½ seasons due to a failed surgery which meant he had to go under the knife again.
This season he only missed 1 game due to some back problem. His knee seems to have finally recovered.
He is also miles better than any Inter midfielder thats for sure.

For me this list brings a lot of red flags, this medical history is terrifying. I get that he had problems with the same knee, but overall I’d be against on signing a player like this A) Long history on the sidelines by injuries. B) Would command a big fee to even get him. C) Is not a superstar.
I would understand on signing a player who has suffered injuries in the past, if he would be a true superstar in his position. But in Strootmans case, we can surely do better..
Only midfielder I want from Roma is Nainggolan, or Pellegrini if Roma uses their buyback option from Sassuolo.
Why did you post the same injury history as i explained in my post?
Like i said, his knee seems to have healed now, as he had no problems this season.
You are also underrating him greatly, he is MILES better than any current midfielder at Inter and we definitely cannot attract much better.
In any case, its irrelevant to even talk about it as he has signed a contract extension with Roma and is surely staying there.
I wanted to show how many days he has been injured. And its not the same since you mentioned Two knee operations (same knee) but didn’t mention the Cruciate ligament injury, not sure if this was the same leg or not, but still..
He has missed 678 days of football since 9th of March 2014.
And there is always a risk that the injury comes back, because the damage has been done there.
Gagliardini and J.Mario can easily rise to same level or even higher than Strootman. And in my opinion he is not even MILES ahead of them.
Yeah, this might be irrelevant. But its still nice to have a good conversation!
