Borja Valero has agreed to move to Inter Sky Sport 24 underline. Now the Spaniard’s agent must continue work as the middle man between Fiorentina and Inter to get the deal over the line. Inter are expected to have to pay between €5-7 million for the 32 year old’s services.

I don’t like this move (no offense to Valero) but we should be aiming high… 🙁
I think matuidi boja gagliardini is quite good if ee cant get nainggolan. Borja act ad regista or deep lying playmaker meamwhile matuidi and gagliardini become box to box as always. Maybe spalleti wants a veteran in midfield just like de rossi eho can lead the midfield. Borja also knows serie much more than banega. Im somehow okay with that, because in serie a age doesnt matter.
Is anyone else confused by the midfield situation besides me? Regardless of the formation Spalletti chooses, we will be playing with 3 midfielders. We are almost certainly parting ways with banega and brozovic…and on the verge of acquiring valero. This leaves Valero, Gagliardini, Mario, and Kondogbia. I have 2 concerns:
1. How are they going to lineup?
2. How are we going to address remaining midfield depth, assuming we want a backup for every role.
It seems like Borja can only play in the #10 spot in a 4-2-3-1, or on the outside of 4-3-3…but who would be the deep-lying CM? Does anyone know if Borja can play the Pirlo role…with gagliardini and mario on either side?
Just looking for suggestions…I’m clueless as to how this team might lineup this year.
Valero can play dpl, but he needs a real DM besides him in that case since valero is terrible at defending.
Valero makes no sense since we have no proper DM. Fagliardini and kondo are both awful at defending.
Borja is capable to play as deep playmaker and holding midfielder. He has slick passing and vision to help the ball keep flowing and assisting the attackers. His defensive contribution is also pretty solid. In fact, he has been an assist machine at Serie A since 2013. The only problem is Borja will be 33 years next January, definitely not a long term solution. We are 5 years late to seal him. For now, 5-6 million euros is the right valuation of his card.
In 4-2-3-1 (Spalletti’s favorite), he will be paired with Gagliardini. While In 4-3-3 the trio could be Borja – Gagliardini – Mario. Looks like two of K-Dog, Banega or Broz are leaving this summer.
So this is my question: Who are the back-up midfielders if only 1 of those three remain? I haven’t heard speculation around this – I think it might be good to have someone like benassi or baselli in the ranks to fill in when needed, they are young and won’t demand playing time but can also grow. I was also thinking Gnoukouri…since it seems this Coulibaly fellow will go to the primavera if he comes.
wow…just wow!
From Veratti to Valero…
If you thought we were ever going to get Veratti then please pass me whatever you’re smoking…we might get him when he’s 35 after a knee surgery or two. I’ll say it here now. None of the Italian ‘kids’are coming to Inter. Not Bernardeschi, not Berardi, not Conte, no Belotti. And I’m the one on here who always trys to think positive
and the one that did was spotted watching rube games in their stadium
onwards 7 upwards. that’s our motto.
And how is Banega not good enough but this guy is?
Its all about profit. We payed zero for Banega, now we gonna make round 15mil from his sale, and since he is not used to calcio as Borja, and since his price gonna probably drop next year, we are going for as bigger profit as possible with almost no sacrificies.
his price is not gonna drop next year , 15m is dirt cheap
he will prob have a great season next year playing away form Inter and his price will go up.
as always 😀
Sacrifice is having Valero on the field. He is a slowpoke and not good enough to make first team at Inter. I’d rather play Kondo, Gaglia and Joao Mario. All are better options.
i thought he would be filling a bench…
because fuck logic
