Inter and Sevilla have both released a statement on each of their respective homepages that the 2 clubs have agreed terms over the transfer of Argentine playmaker Ever Banega to the Andalusian club.
A statement on Sevilla’s homepage read that the two clubs “have an agreement in principle in place for the transfer for Ever Banega” which was confirmed by Inter moments later when the Nerazzurri released a statement adding that “The agreement will become effective once the player has passed a medical and signed a contract with the club.”
Banega signed for Inter in July 2016 on a free transfer after having spent 2 successful seasons with Sevilla leading the club to 2 Europa League titles, but left after failing to agree terms with the Andalusian club regarding a contract extension.
However, Banega’s stay with Inter was largely disappointing as the Argentinian failed to deliver consistently and was more often than not benched by all 4 coaches who were in charge of Inter during a chaotic season.
The transfer fee has been rumored to be in the region of €9 million which will generate a much needed profit for the Nerazzurri who need to bring in around €25 million in order to not violate the agreement struck with UEFA last summer regarding the FFP rules.
i miss the times when we play him next to Joao M, they played really good together (sadly that happened in like a couple of games) we got some money back but I’ll rather that our team keep him but how knows, I’m not watching his attitude inside and outside the field, maybe he wasn’t consistent enough- but damn plz sell Kondo asap I really think he is toxic!

While Banega is a quality creative player, he did not fit in at inter. Although we won
a few games with him starting in the team, the team was always unbalanced when he played. With him we were good at attacking but when we lost the ball or were not in possession of it, we were very unbalanced and exposed. During our treble season we played many different formations, 4-2-3-1,4-3-2-1,4-3-1-2 and in the CL final we played 4-4-1-1 during most of the match with sneijder further forward with milito. In all these formation, all players defended alot except milito and with Banega in these various formation the team would struggle. Banega, while creative is slow and severly lack defensive positioning and not suited for Serie A. Seria A is a very tactical league and a team must adapt during games quickly, with Banega on the team inter was unable to change when the going got tough in game play

Baggio, recoba, sneijder, hernanes, Alvarez, figo, etc all got playing time: the problem is Banega doesn’t deliver enough during clutch moments.
His pace or defensive ability is not the problem but rather his speed of though that isn’t quick enough for the highly organized teams in Italy. Banega was a luxury player for us: I love him but if we can make some money so be it.
