The central midfielder is valued at €10 million by Sassuolo but will not be an easy target for Inter. I don’t think Duncan quality is somewhere near Kessi (at 1st half of season)
Doesn’t seem much point filling up our home grown quota this season when we don’t have Europe, so unless Duncan can genuinely compete for a first team place I don’t see the point. I haven’t seen him play last year but from the impressions I’m getting it sounds like he’s been doing ok but probably not top club standard. Anyone know how good he is now? I thought if anyone Benassi might be brought back as he could be a solid squad player.
Duncan might be that missing piece. That technical DM we’ve been lacking. Although he’s playing in more of a box to box role in Sassuolo. He’s physically imposing, yet skillful too. His range of passes are excellent. Tbh if it’s 10m we should go all in. Probably need to replenish with quality after selling Banega, Medel and Brozo.
I like the idea of benassi too. Although he’s not particularly skillful or quick, he has a talent I’d say not many footballers have. He can dictate the tempo of the game, knows when to play short quick passing and able to find the runs of attacker. I’d be thrilled if we can sign both of them.
I do not see the reason for getting Duncan, Gnoukouri is pretty much the same type of player.

We need home-grown players for future UEFA-competitions. In that view it would be a great transfer.
