Sky Sport report that Sampdoria have rejected Inter’s latest bid for Czeck striker Patrick Schick.
According to the report representatives from Inter met with Sampdoria’s counterparts at a dinner in central Milano during which they presented a bid consisting of a loan with an option to make the transfer permanent. The Blucerchiati however reacted to the offer in a negative way declining it, making it clear that only a permanent transfer is of interest to them.
Meanwhile, Roma are reportedly interested in the young Czech attacker but are yet to make an official move for him.

You’re right, my bad because I saw him many times playing on the right as a SS in a compact attack
Thx God
Pls Get him now. Forget a loan. He’s a talent and his price will only go up nxt window
Buying Valero, Vecino, Skriniar, Dalbert, Pdelli (free) and Colidio will put a €17.6mn dent in our FFP calculations for this year. On top their salaries will hit us for another ~€10mn, for a total cost of ~€27.4mn thus far.
Looking at the activity we booked a profit of €500k by selling Medel and save another €4.5mn in salaries from the Medel, Murillo and Biabiany moves. Assuming the rumored Kondogbia-Cancelo swap goes through and Valencia exercise their option to buy Kondogbia at the end of the season we stand to make a net benefit of €12.1mn from the transfer. Even if the option is not exercised we would still save €3.3mn in net salaries and transfer amortization given Kondogbia has agreed to extend his contract by one year in order to help the loan go through. Biabiany also has a €4mn option in his loan deal with Sparta but I am less optimistic that it gets exercised.
So assuming just the Kondogbia option is exercised the aggregate savings from transfers at the moment is €17.1mn which means we are already in a €10.3mn hole. Moving Ranocchia on for €5mn together with his salary of €2.4mn could lead to additional savings of €7.4mn but still need to do more with moving Ansaldi and Santon both along helping with just getting rid of their salaries saving us €2.8mn making us break even in terms of transfer dealings. Any profit on their sales would be an added benefit.
We would still need to move a few more players out if we want to bring in the much needed defensive reinforcements and complete the Schick transfer. While there is a lot of talk around Candreva the rumored sale for €25mn to Chelsea will have a positive impact of ~€10.7mn which in itself will barely cover the amortization of a suitable acquisition. I don’t think we can rely on a Schick/Cancelo combo as Schick at best a Inside Forward and Cancelo really looking to go back to right-back role. Assuming we go for someone like Berardi (€35mn transfer fee and €2.5mn salary) it would still mean a hit of €9.5mn a year which means we still don’t have much room to go after Schick or bring in defenders.
The best option would be to sell Brozovic who has a low book value compared to his rumored market value which as per recent reports seems to be an option the management have been evaluating as well. Selling Brozovic for €20mn will lead to savings of €17.5mn (€16mn profit plus €1.5mn salary) to current budget which would give us significant room to maneuver on the transfer front and could in itself cover the transfer fee amortization (€30.5mn over five years so €6.1mn per year) and salary (~€3mn) for Schick and also give us some flex to find a suitable defensive targets on loan while also keeping us in the race to sign a young talent such as Foyth.
We start looking a bit light on the midfield department but between potential profit from the sales of Ansaldi and Santon with the flexibility to throw Jovetic in the mix we should have room to find suitable midfield options to fill out the roster without touching our crown jewels of Icardi, Perisic and Joao Mario.
Schick will come, we are trying to figure out how to pay for him while avoiding the full 30-35mill hitting our books this yr. Just need to convince Samp on the payment plan.
Just name Schick the Inter ambassador, give him 30M and have him buy out his own contract. Oh wait…
Haha that’s one way to go around it… Sooner or later we’ll have something like players getting stocks in companies.
I still believe in Candreva, but with Cancelo, I guess we have two options now…sell Candreva and use the money to buy Shick.
Too late brother… Candy is already in the system… It’s a dumb decision to ditch him 1 day before start of the season
What the…. Sunning want Vidal for 50m and now we have FFP problem for 30m
and psg have no problems with 222mill , haha
Sure, because their revenue is 520M vs 220M for us. Even after splashing 222M, they still have more than our entire budget.
On top of that, reports suggest that the Neymar’s transfer didn’t even go through PSG’s books, in which case they can spend even more.
thanks, but
didn’t they say those chinese were very, very rich ?!?
“transfer didn’t even go through PSG’s books, in which case they can spend even more.” … and that is not cheating ?!? haha, anybody can do it, even those chinese …
Being rich doesn’t mean they’ve successfully exploited FFP loopholes. We need 200M/year sponsorship made, stadium plans crafted and work-in-progress etc etc.
Just because they have money doesn’t mean Inter’s books are suddenly shored up.
PSG is dirty because they know how to work around FFP in a way that’s hard to dispute. Sure, anyone can do it, but Inter haven’t played dirty, therefore we haven’t been able to exploit the loopholes PSG have.
in short; we are suckers.
In terms of not exploiting FFP? Absolutely. When QTA supplies 200M/yr into PSG as legitimate revenue, it’s hard to understand why we don’t do the same with Suning. Given how popular Inter are in China, it’s not hard to come up with reasons to justify sponsorship.
agree 100 % !
That 50m would probably have been paid over 4-5 seasons.
Problem here is that Samp want 35m outright.
wtf! aren’t we supposed to have big budget for this transfer market and have no problem with FFP
It seems FFP is the reason.
He is massively overpriced and he would get very little playing time when we have Icardi anyways.
Forget about him, close the Mercato with Cancelo, the bank is apparently empty.
Those 30m we had to pay UEFA as FFP fine would have been handy right now.
i don’t think FFP works like that..
What do you mean?
Inter had to raise 30m by june 30 to avoid getting fined by UEFA. Thats why Banega and others were sold and those 30m counts in in 16/17 seasons accountancy.
If Inter had met their financial obligations in 16/17, then they could have sold these players and spent the money in this mercato which would then have counted towards the accountancy of 17/18.
The reason Schick cant be bought outright, is because the club wants to avoid a similar situation next summer.
Did you mean that we still have to deal with FFP on the next june as well eventhough we didn’t participating in any Europe competition for the next season? That doesn’t make sense
It doesnt matter if Inter are in europe or not.
Inter made a settlement agreement with UEFA, which lasts 4 seasons total and began with the 15/16 season and continues to (and including) the 18/19 season. By June 30 2019 the club is supposed to break fully even.
So regardless if Inter are in europe or not, then its stil a 4 year “contract” that needs to be obliged and if certain financial objectives each seasons arent meet then there will penalties.
Inter wont be “free” from FFP before the summer 2019… So still a long way to go.
Close the mercato? LMAO we would have only Miranda Skriniar and Rano as our CBs
True a backup CB needs to arrive on loan as well.
So stupid
If this is the guy you want, then just sign him! Enough beating around the bush!
I have a feeling that we cant make this deal through. It seems like we dont have economic resources to make outright purchases until the last day of mercato. We are going to rely on right and option to purchase which is very difficult to do. Unless we can sell jovetic, ansaldi, santon ranocchia and then can make sporting pay for gabigol’s salary even just a half of it. Then maybe we have money to spend.
Idk whether suning doesnt have the money or not be able to spend due to ffp. But Im not expecting any big transfers until last day.
Wtf? We read that Schick only wants Inter now and Samp agreed on this transfer back In winter 2016-2017 (but Inter were late of course to sign him which saw rube stand ahead) and now this?
We don’t need him. Not enough playing time, and Eder can back up Icardi just fine, if not Jovetic.
We will if candreva leaves
lol..of course…there are clubs that want to buy him straight away for 35-40 mil
