I think this year, he will remain where he is and there will be no surprises. In January, Chelsea wanted him but Antonio chose to leave Lazio to follow Inter’s revival project. I was very anti Candreva last season with his constant blind crossing, but I have noticed that he is no longer doing that. Look at Perisic goal vs Fiorentina. He looks like he wanted to just hit it into the box without looking but then he stopped, played it to JM, who picked out a great ball.
If he has worked on his tendency to blindly hit crosses then I am happy for him to stay. He works hard in defence, and comes inside to allow D’Ambrosio to overlap.
Ill sell him if it still end of july. But not now when we the league already begin.

At some point this season I would like to see Mario play RW, maybe he can be more effective than Candreva. I also say that because I’m just not convinced in Mario being a successful AM… Valero can fill in as an AM and Vecino and Gag can play behind him.
4-2-3-1 isn’t the only formation in the world. If we don’t have a suitable AM, there’s little reason to shoehorn ourselves into it.
Definitely good news, we need stability and continuity, plus he was one of the best yesterday.
I would think twice before dropping him for some wonder kid who has no clue of how to play in our system.
Cancelo is good , but he will need time to adapt as our RW.
If the idea is even to play him there in the future, I am not sure.
Meanwhile candreva as a starter works just fine with me.
I’m not against of candreva. just hate about his playing style, sometimes he stuck at same pattern for 90 mins.
