Inter have opened negotiations with Sampdoria about signing Uruguayan midfielder Lucas Torreira, according to calciomercato.it. Both Pietro Ausilio and Walter Sabatini like the Blucerchiati player.
Sampdoria are reportedly willing to notify the Nerazzurri if any offers were to arrive for the player from other clubs such as for example Atletico Madrid who have been following the player for quite some time now and have sent scouts to watch him in the Serie A fixture against Chievo Verona where he scored twice and is currently valued at € 20 million.
The 21 year old Uruguayan midfielder started his career at Montevideo Wanderers before moving to Pescara’s Primavera team in Italy at the age of 18. There he enjoyed his breakthrough season with Sampdoria during the 2016/17 Seri A season. Torreira is a midfielder that loves to sit in front of the defence and is blessed with a polished right foot, similar to that of former Inter, Roma and Fiorentina playmaker, the Chilean David Pizarro.
He is a good player and a set piece taker… he has a smallish body but that shouldn’t be a problem… I’m i right guys?

And I think he has nothing to do with some old let downs of ours like Palombo or Gargano,because he is not only fast and defensively aggressive but also very high quality.
I think it also shows how much better we are moving now on the market, with a lot more sense.
If,for example ,we had to get him + Ramires on easy loan and sell JM and make a little money in the process I would be perfectly fine with it.

I believe he had a 25 m clause in his old contract ,but he just got a new contract.
I think the new contract is without clause(does anybody know for sure?) ,but of course his value is considered now a little higher, because many top teams are interested.
Nothing less than 30m I would say ,but maybe with Samp we can work out some players in partial exchange ,like we always do with them.
Pacey & better tackling Verratti. We were so close to sign Verratti before the Sheikh brought more money for Pescara. It was precious lesson for Inter to move faster securing a rising talent. Remember that Inter!

Ferrero (Samp’s president) is slowly learning to be an A-hole (e.g. Schick’s saga and talking crap after selling Skriniar). Don’t see us continuing good business with Samp. I think we need to go all out on Chiesa in next window. That kid is something special! We should have also bought back Benassi.. 10m would have been a bargain in comparison with 28mil we paid for Vecino, Now Fiore would not let him go for less than 30-40mil.

Sabatini trolled Roma to spend their entire money from the Salah deal. Don`t worry, we now have Sabatini. Sabatini practicaly made money for Ferrero and I think we will deal with him again in the future. We can always pay the 25m release clause, but I think we will try to insert a player in the deal to lower the price.

Future,ok, but right now,I mean if he had to come this winter, I see mostly in Gagliardini spot, he is great defensively
