Javier Pastore’s future may be far from Paris as a return to Italy for ‘El Flaco’ is an idea that becomes more and more concrete.
In fact, the Argentinian player is hoping to return to the Serie A according to FcInterNews, who report that the former Palermo star, despite being aware of being part of one of the best teams in the world, is determined to get more playing time and is increasingly unhappy with being benched.
In front of him, in the pecking order are the likes of Neymar, Cavani, Di Maria and Mbappé, without forgetting Draxler and Lucas. Thus, it becomes difficult for someone with his playing style, who needs continuity and the game to pass from his feet, to be able to find a spot in such a competitive environment. The attacking midfielder knows very well that he can adapt easily to Italian football after exploding on to the scene during his time at Palermo.
The much rumoured swap deal between Inter and PSG concerning Joao Mario is not very likely to happen, because the Portuguese player would not want to leave a well performing Inter team to land in a club where he would presumably experience the same difficulties faced by Pastore.
Although there are no ongoing negotiations, there is still a possibility that Pastore could end up playing for the Nerazzurri because Walter Sabatini remains very fond of him and coupled with the player’s strong will to return to Italy, FcInterNews conclude.
Pastore has glass feet.
I would be happy to have him behind Icardi, but I’m anxious with JM playing time either. I believe JM would blossom to be world class AMC in the near future. He’s smart tacticaly & has sportmanship attitude that is needed for pro athlete.
Joao Mario has deadly pass in the box, but as AMC, he needs to improve on shooting outside the box
Improving on shooting is a matter of playing regularly in the same spot on the line-up. He could increase his ‘killer-instinct’ & decision making based on the final third of the pitch situation. In this case, he would play less time if Pastore-deal goes through.
Getting him in on a loan or something would be insane – he´s a superb player a a true attacking midfielder who would do really well behind Icardi!
