Inter technical coordinator Walter Sabatini has made Sampdoria aware of the Nerazzurri’s interest in midfielder Lucas Torreira according to FCInterNews.it.
In addition to this, Sabatini, who has served as sporting director at Roma, Palermo and Lazio in the past, knows Torreira’s representatives and has also notified them at Inter are interested in him.
Inter are not the only club currently keeping tabs on the Uruguayan midfielder either. It is understood that an unnamed Premier League club have had men watching the 21-year-old in recent weeks and been impressed by his showings.
Inter have taken others interest in to account and will act accordingly and could well buy him in the summer mercato if he has not moved on already. One thing almost for sure is, despite the €25 million release clause, Samp president Massimo Ferrero will not look to sell the midfielder in January and deprive coach Marco Giampaolo of one of his star players.
I don’t know how exactly, but sell who you have to sell, sponsor what you have to sponsor…just please get the 3 players that can be realistically gotten and would complete us:
Mustafi, Torreira, Pastore.
All 3 serie A tested.( VERY important factor).
All 3 strong.
All 3 fit perfectly into the missing slots in our squad .
Do that…and we would be seriously talking scudetto fight after the winter mercato.
By the way, if one doesn’t believe much in the “serie A tested ” factor, just look at the 6 acquisitions of our summer mercato:
3 serie A tested,Vecino, Valero, Skriniar.
Always starters.
3 from Spain and France, Dalbert, Cancelo, Karamoh. .
Not so much.
This factor becomes even stronger for the winter mercato, when they have to adapt and be useful right away without the summer training.
How can you explain the case with miranda and perisic when they come from different league.. new to serie a, always starter
Of course outstanding players will be outstanding players, but Perisic needed quite some time to adapt.
When he first arrived he was considered a total bust.
Don’t you remember?
It’s not an absolute, but the “Serie A proven” it’s often a very helpful factor, in many ways(including knowing the language and adapting time) when you consider two similar level players in the same role.
By the way Spalletti ,not me,repeated the concept for the third time yesterday in an interview.
” For the Serie A experienced players it is much easier to find their place in Inter than it is for Karamoh,Dalbert ,Cancelo ,they need a bit more adapting time ..time to find the right chemistry, understanding what is needed and wanted..etc. “.
That was Spalletti yesterday, and I personally heard him repeating that same concept 3 times already, but he probably repeated it more times.
Of course, except when buying from our rival in serie a means higher price..
I would even accept Ramires,Torreira ,Mustafi,if we really find no other way to invest a whole lot of money, since . Ramires would come for free
Sell JM and Ranocchia ,find some sponsors ,make payments …
If there is a 25 million release clause, Ferrero won’t have much to say right? Release cause by definition means, players is yours if you pay for him.
If this release clause exists, for me it’s a must-pay. We can’t a afford him in January so , so we must work our magic to convince him to stay till summer and then join us
Maybe we can ..
Sell JM get Torreira.
I would personallay accept that, considering our financial situation.
Torreira is more useful to us.
Good move…
