Inter coach Luciano Spalletti and his Atalanta counterpart have decided to field the following 22 players for tonight’s Serie A fixture at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district, with kick-off scheduled for 20.45 CET.
Spalletti has decided to make one change from the team that drew 1-1 against Torino before the international break by choosing Davide Santon ahead of Yuto Nagatomo in left-back. Aside from that it is an expected Inter line-up where Ivan Perisic and Antonio Candreva play on each side of captain Mauro Icardi up front.

He did but mancini’s play style was different, he was all defense and then counter so it worked, be boer was offensive minded so new players every game couldnt get chemistry together, pioli did good for awhile but hit the fan hard
True, but to be honest our backbone also consist of new players so far. Valero, Vecino, Skriniar, even Gagliardini. Its true that D’ambo and naga has been with us for long time, but we all know they were a joke as starting line up. So, IMHO, I think our success so far is due to the work by Spaletti and Sabatini. It is no comparison to Fassone Montella 😀

They are dumb.. mostly because of the dumbass Fassone.. He bought players for 4-4-2 then he switched to 3-5-2 because of Bonucci deal with no attention to wingers (most important piece of 3-5-2).. Conti got injured and suddenly Borini became irreplacable..

i honestly dont know what people want from fullbacks anymore, santon is offensive minded, his offense was good, his defense can use some work but nothing too drastic, he made runs, had good passes

Both! he defended well… Skriniar was far less under pressure than Miranda today. Even though Papo Gomez was playing mostly on our right flank!
Gomez played on the left more in the first, Skirniar was busy in the first, full backs go up, skriniar covered dambrisio alot in the first as miranda did in the second for santon, when atlanta brought on petangna and orsolini they played more on the right so santon needed more help, i thought they both played good and would keep these two fullbacks for more games

When you see that its because santon is running up to make plays on the wing and we would make a bad pass and they would counter, not santons fault, i would give him a 6.5-7 today, can use some work but he hasnt played much and is rusty, give him a couple games he will be good
I would say he was not that bad and not that good as well. I think he just played safe. Yes, he is not that fast like Naga. But personally I am happy for him. Today is his first full 90 minutes, and that is a good thing for his moral and confidence. The season is still long to go, I believe he will be useful for us.

Naga is fast, he works hard, but his offensive ability isnt that great, his defensive is not good either but he works hard and shows it, he runs the whole game, hes an average full back for an average team, but he works hard and i cant complain about that, we know his talents, he shows some games he can be good but then some games you got your head scratching wtf is he doing
Yes, Naga is faster. However, IMHO, Santon plays more safe than Naga.. But I don’t why Spaleti put Santon instead of Naga this time. Lets see what the tactical analysis article will say…

True, last season he came in and did everything for a couple games, i think atlanta used him more as a playmaker too so he was used to it, but he came here and dont use him for that so his playmaking ability isnt as strong, he has it just isnt using it

Actaully he does have pretty good defensive p,ositioning ,sometimes I would like to have a more creative player in the middle , he had been our missing point as afr as creative midfield in the last few games and many noticed that.

I think that clause will not be carried over in the summer. But if that’s a case we must buy him. We spent that much for Vecino and Toreira is more proven than Vecino.
I think you should get used to Santon ,Spalletti already said in interviews ,before this game a couple times ,that he is going to use him more and more because Santon really knows this game tactically, and is very versatile so he may use him in different positions and even mentioned him ad a possibly very good alternative as CB..so that’s that.
