Inter’s Uruguayan international midfielder equalised in the dying minutes of the Serie A clash when the Nerazzurri hosted Roma at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district to keep Inter’s Champions League hopes alive and well.
Despite being an entertaining match it was in all honesty a poor fixture in terms of quality given the inexplicably large amount of simple mistakes by both teams players who at times seemed unable to string three passes together. It was via one of these errors that former AC Milan winger Stephan El Shaarawy opened the deadlock midway through the first half. Inter created many chances but were unable to score thanks to a brilliant Alisson Becker in Roma’s goal until the former Fiorentina midfielder Vecino got on the end of a great Brozovic cross.

couple of points ive noticed:
1- cancelo was the MOTM for me, for the first time in ever, our attacking style was somewhat unpredictable simply because Roma simply because the defenders would cover candreva while not focusing entirely on cancelo. if we were a bit lucky, we would have finished 3 or 4 – 1 winners .
2- candreva can be our solution if he plays under icardi, his shooting from the middle is far much better, and he can swap with both flanks to add flair and unpredictability. plus i have no doubt he can play long balls from the back. the only problem i think is that, as a winger, he will need space to move in, however the pace under icardi is barely occupied by our team, so hope?
