He basically goes 5-6 matches without scoring at all and just disappears on the pitch in every way possible not only scoring wise, after 2-3 matches of decent performances. If he showed up in some form in 50% of this matches that he’s a ghost we easily we’d be 2-3 positions higher.

I agree every player has that and I understand that but Icardi has never been consistent man. He literally has at least 4 periods during each season where he vanishes on the pitch for 4-5 matches if not more. And besides that he can only score, it’s not that if he doesn’t score he assists or creates chances or just inspire his teammates.
There are so many matches where we’re practically one men down because of him. I get it that we don’t have the best wingers or midfield. But when the team is doing bad and you’re the best player and the captain it doesn’t mean you just have to sit at the penalty box and wait for some miracle to happen.

Now this crap really pisses me off. When a player is doing well he gets paid. When his form is low he gets paid. How about a fair contract where you make 8 mil per season if you reach certain goals (scoring 25 goals. Making CL. Winning Copa), but if you miss those goals you only get 6 mil. In my opinion this would keep the player motivated throughout the whole season. It would give him something to work hard for to achieve.
