Inter legend Beppe Bergomi has spoken on Inter’s slump that has seen them pick up maximum points on just one occasions since the 5-0 thrashing of Chievo Verona on December 3rd.
“The Beneamata continues its streak of matches where they have not played well. It is true that they won against Bologna but this is a team that does not have continuity. At first Inter was a team who were difficult to beat but at this time it is also difficult to find someone to save the team.”
Bergomi proceeded to speak about Inter manager Luciano Spalletti.
“Luciano is a friend of mine. I continue to believe he is the right choice for Inter. In the history of the Nerazzurri when a cycle of success was opened, it was done with a coach with character. When he arrived I thought he would put everything in place. He always works very well during the week, he is a point of reference for many coaches too, as confirmed by Gasperini in these days.”
I agree with him. We’ll never get any stability if we don’t give the coach a chance to build a team that he can work with. Sacking the manager every time we struggle isn’t the way to go.
plus we didnt have a manager of spalletti’s level in the last 7 years. ive always envious of roma for having him
I miss the old times, when this guy was still around, guarding the defense 20 years ago with the likes of Pagliuca and young Zanetti. 97/98 was a great season despite the failure to secure the title. The way they play made us a fan back then
