Corriere della Sera have been highly critical of Suning since the departures of Fabio Capello and Walter Sabatini from the Suning project.
“Suning comes out of this situation with their image destroyed. If two prominent figures of the project leave off their own back it only means one thing: the Chinese project is not credible, but it is one of an alarming fragility instead.”
Fabio Capello stood down as manager of Jiangsu Suning yesterday while Walter Sabatini, the technical coordinator for both Inter and Jiangsu, left his position this morning following talks with the Suning leadership.
“The promises made last May, when Sabatini and Luciano Spalletti arrived, were broken. The idea of creating a network of Suning teams around Europe is aborted and also the chance of a long term project. The delays in every decision have led to the Sabatini surrendering having not been able to create a team of his own.”
