Corriere dello Sport have discussed the possibility of Inter manager Luciano Spalletti receiving an extension to his contract.
“The talk of extension was mentioned when things were going well more in the form of a joke than through a real negotiation,” the Roman based newspaper say.
“The parties have never been around a table to talk about why the crisis first came to the fore but now things appear to be calm and if the results are the same as in the last few weeks the line of conversation will be re-visited.”
They further report that Inter’s owners Suning are happy with what Spalletti has done in his tenure thus far and that it will stand him in good stead for a contract extension.
“Suning is delighted with Spalletti for the role he has played in some key moments of the season, what he transmits to the team and getting a reaction out of the team when things could have got worse. Steven Zhang has great admiration for the coach and his work, and this will have an enormous impact [on him getting an extension].”
