Suning have came out and denied the circulating media reports that they are thinking about selling Inter.

“As for the so-called ‘stories’ reported by foreign outlets, we do not even consider them. Our only focus is the League,” a spokesperson for the Chinese group told Sina Sports.

Corriere della Sera broke a story last night reporting that Suning were considering selling Inter for €600 million to enable them to move on to other projects. The Milanese newspaper also stated however that Suning would find it extremely difficult to find a buyer for the Nerazzurri.

Suning bought the club back in the summer of 2016 and have a 68.5% controlling stake in the San Siro club. Despite being an extremely wealthy group, they have struggled to do as they perhaps set out to do due to Inter’s ongoing financial fair play problems and the Chinese government imposing restrictions on foreign spending which meant Inter were forced to miss out on a number of transfer targets.
