Inter new boy Kwadwo Asamoah has confirmed to feeling “as good as ever” physically following his free transfer after the expiration of his contract at Juventus.

“I felt as good as ever last season, I played regularly and felt great in training. I have always said that once I have found my best physical shape, I will return to my national team and that moment is near,” Asamoah revealed to Kwesi ESPN.

A serious cartilage injury suffered during the 2014/15 season kept the Ghanaian out of action for just shy of a year and there have been fears over his physical condition and ability to play a large amount of games each season since.

Last season Asamoah made a total of 26 appearances across all competitions for the Bianconeri as they continued their domestic dominance by winning both the scudetto and Coppa Italia and reached the Champions League quarter-finals where they lost out to eventual winners Real Madrid.
