It seems that Inter’s dream of signing Luka Modric will remain just a dream, at lest before the Italian transfer window closes tomorrow at 8 pm CET Sky Sport Italia’s transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzo reports.
According to the report: “Despite Inter getting involved in talks with the player’s agents, the meetings with Real Madrid have confirmed that Inter’s dream signing will not be becoming a reality.
“Florentino Perez opted not to allow the player to leave, especially given Ronaldo’s departure to Juventus earlier in the window. Instead, Modric, who was intent on starting a new adventure having already reached the highest level as a professional footballer, will stay at Real Madrid to lead the club as their on-field tactician and number 10” Di Marzio reports.
This means with all likelihood that the Nerazzurri’s transfer window in terms of players in has now effectively closed and tomorrow’s deadline day will focus entirely on offloading Joao Mario, Antonio Candreva or Yann Karamoh as well as Andrea Pinamonti.
SempreInter.com will keep you up to speed with everything that happens as it happens throughout the day until the transfer window closes.
