Inter legend Nicola Berti has revealed he believes that the real Inter will not be truly seen until after the upcoming international break.
“Inter players must understand who they are playing in front of and the importance of the jersey that they wear, they owe it to the 60 thousand spectators on Sunday at San Siro,” Berti said in an interview with Corriere della Sera.
“The mentality has to be worked upon by Luciano Spalletti. Many players were at the World Cup and after the international break we will see the real Inter even though in midfield we are lacking something. Lautaro can add quality.”
The former Italian international midfielder spent a decade on the books of Inter between 1988-1998 and won two UEFA Cups, a Serie A title as well as a single Supercoppa during his spell with the club before moving to England to play for London club Tottenham Hotspur.
