Inter’s majority stakeholders Suning intend to obtain complete control of the Nerazzurri before the year end according to a report from Sport Mediaset.

Suning entered the Nerazzurri atmosphere in the summer of 2016 as they purchased a 70% controlling stake from Indonesian tycoon Erick Thohir and have completely transformed Inter in the years since, particularly when it comes to increasing the revenue streams of the club all while investing hundreds of millions in to improving the playing squad on the transfer market.

Indirect confirmation that Suning will achieve their goal has arrived from the departure of Michael Williamson, one of Thohir’s most trusted men, who has terminated his contract at the San Siro.

Sports Mediaset report that once the Chinese conglomerate buy Thohir out of the club, Steven Zhang, son of Suning owner Jindong, will be appointed as the new club president and in doing so, Zhang jr. will become the youngest ever president of the club.
