Nicolo Barella has reaffirmed his commitment to Cagliari following interest in his services over the summer.
“I am very happy at Cagliari, it is my home. It was not just my choice or the clubs for me to stay, but a shared one,” Barella remarked during a press conference at the Italian national team’s Coverciano training base.
“I am not a leader at Cagliari but a guy who has been able to emerge. I always look to give a hand to my teammates in a team that is made up of good players. I feel like a ‘mezzala’ in central midfield, at times I can help the team from attacking midfielder or a more central position.”
The 21-year-old has drawn interest from Inter in recent months and is understood to be valued around the €20 million mark by the Rossoblu hierarchy as per various reports that have done the rounds recently.
