Following a two goal performance in Santos’ 2-0 away win over Parana, Santos manager Cuca has heaped praise on Gabriel Barbosa but admits that the striker still has room to improve.

“He was once again decisive, he occupies the spaces well. He is not an out and out striker but he is working on improving in this aspect as it is important for him and for his future. He has great skills and he is managing to occupy the different areas of the field better than before,” he said in an interview with Brazilian outlet Globoesporte.

The Brazilian youngster joined Santos on a year long loan during the January transfer window and has used the spell to rekindle the form that lead Inter to forking out €30 million on him back in 2016.
