At the Sports Festival at the RCS Auditorium, where the winner of the Triplete with Inter was honoured, Javier Zanetti also gave a brief interview with Inter TV.

The former Nerazzurri captain stated that “the Triplete was a very important event, it is remembered by all and also for all of us who were a part of that team, it will always be a great emotion. We wrote an important page of history and gave so much happiness to our fans, it was truly an unforgettable moment. It takes team spirit and strong mentality to overcome difficulties, in addition to the great spirit of teamwork.”

Javier Zanetti was the captain of the now infamous treble winning side under Jose Mourinho in 2010, becoming the first Italian side in history to win the League Title, Coppa Italia and Champions League in the same season. Inter mark their return to the Champions League this season at home against Tottenham, eight years after their last appearance in the competition.
