Based on recent form, Mauro Icardi would appear ready as ever to go on international duty with Argentina over the international break in the eyes of Milan based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

After a slow start, the Inter captain has now scored in each of his last three appearances and will hope to transfer this form in to La Seleccion where he is still looking to score his first goal having been unable to put it in the net in his five national team appearances.

He will go to international duty with this goal in mind but Inter will not be far from his mind either with two big games coming up right after the break concludes. The first game back after the break is the Milan derby and then Inter play host

Argentine are due to play Iraq in an international friendly this coming Thursday before playing against Brazil in another friendly match on October 16.
