Napoli manager Carlo Ancelotti has commented on how the Italian teams have fared in the Champions League while at the Festival of Sport event in Trento that recently had an event dedicated to Inter’s Triplete winning team.
“So far we [the Italian teams] have done well. We have a very tough group, we done well to get our last win [against Liverpool] must now face the difficult task of playing against Paris Saint Germain. Italian football remains competitive. Juventus will be there or there about and the assessments we make today will be different In April. Last year, Real Madrid struggled at the beginning but still won it. This year I see a more balanced competition.”
Of Italy’s four representatives in this year’s competition, after two match days Inter and Juventus both have maximum points. Ancelotti’s Napoli have four points to their name while Roma have three points to their name and are the only Italian side to have lost a game.
