Milan Skriniar has reflected on Inter’s defeat to Atalanta and season in general in an interview with Slovakian news outlet SME Sport upon reporting for international duty.

“Sunday was a dark day for Inter as everything went wrong in this match but it can do us good. We have been having a good league campaign and we are in third place while we have done positive things in the Champions League, where we played well and we can move on to the knockout rounds. I am sorry for the unexpected defeat against Atalanta and I will do better for the team.”

The Slovak international then returned to speak on Inter’s chances of qualifying for the next round of the Champions League.

“Immediately after the last match against Barcelona, we said that the match with Tottenham will be the key. It would be nice if we can decide our future in the next game,” he said.
