Danilo D’Ambrosio was left with having to rue Inter’s multiple missed chances after the Nerazzurri drew 1-1 away to Chievo Verona, a match that Inter could have put out of sight well before Sergio Pellisier scored an equaliser late on.
“We are disappointed, we wanted the three points at all costs. In the second half, we were missing the malice required to close the game out,” he said in an interview with Inter’s in-house TV channel, Inter TV post-match.
The Italian international believes that it was a similar story in the last game against Udinese but the main difference was that Inter won.
“We did not make the most of our chances and it was the same against Udinese. We were bitter for the Champions League exit, but we still won.”
He concluded, “a goal can come at any time and therefore the games must be closed out. It was nice to play well but I think about winning the games.”
