Stefan de Vrij will miss Inter’s match with Lazio this weekend having underwent medical testing on an injury that he sustained during international duty.

The club posted the following statement to the club website:

“Stefan de Vrij today underwent an MRI scan after a problem picked up during training with the Netherlands National Team.

“The results highlighted an issue with the adductor muscle in his right thigh. de Vrij will now undergo his own personalised training regime and he’ll be reassessed at the start of next week.”

It remains to be seen if the Dutchman will be available for Inter’s match against Genoa mid-week next week.
