Danilo D’Ambrosio looked ahead to next weekend’s match against Frosinone in an interview with Inter TV following the 0-0 draw against Atalanta.

“We have a nice advantage in the standings but we have to think about one match at a time. Against Frosinone it will not be easy for us to win. We will be facing a very strong opponent who are technically strong so let’s take one step at a time.

He then revealed why he was more defensive than normal during the game.

“The coach asked me, because they are good at attacking and have Papu Gomez was on my side, to think more about the defensive phase than the attacking one.”

Next he was asked about Inter possibly achieving Champions League qualification earlier than they did last season.

“They are two different seasons. This year we have an obligation to qualify for the Champions League, because we have to continue what we started last year. We have more responsibility and it would be worth twice as much compared to last season.”

He concluded the interview by speaking on the upcoming home games against Roma and Juventus.

“It is normal that facing them at home will help us because the fans are always on our side.”
