Inter legend Alessandro Altobelli has shared his thoughts on the circulating media speculation regarding the next manager of Inter.

“There are rumours about Antonio Conte and José Mourinho with the first having a real advantage because he is a real Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta man while Mourinho is more of an old love of Massimo Moratti and the old management.

“Luciano Spalletti still has a job to do in the shape of qualifying for the Champions League and then it still needs to be seen how the problems between him and Mauro Icardi are solved. How will it end? I think it can be solved. If Spalletti qualifies for the Champions League, it cannot be excluded that Spalletti could stay.

He then spoke further on Conte: “Knowing Inter and the fan environment at the club, I do not know how a former coach of a historic rival like Juventus can be accepted. Managing in Milan is not easy and if things do not go right then I am worried about the reaction of the fans.”
