Gazzetta dello Sport have heaped praise on Inter for their strong defensive record across all competitions this term.
In Serie A, Inter have allowed just 25 goals in 31 games, the second best record behind league leaders Juventus and they head into this weekend’s match against Frosinone off the back of two straight clean sheets.
When looking at Inter’s record compared to clubs in Europe’s top five leagues, Inter find themselves in a very respectable seventh place behind the likes of Manchester City, Paris St. Germain, Atletico Madrid, RB Leipzig and of course Juventus.
The Milan based newspaper then go on to state in their report that Inter’s clearly already strong defence will be further bolstered with some additions during the Summer transfer window.
Atletico Madrid’s Diego Godin is all but confirmed as an Inter player for next season and he will reportedly join on a free transfer when his current deal at the Wanda Metropolitano stadium expires in the Summer.
Inter will also look to improve at full back and a right back, as per the report, will probably arrive.
