Everton have shown an interest in signing Inter midfielder Joao Mario in the upcoming Summer transfer window according to a report from British newspaper the Daily Mail.

With a number of players expected to leave Goodison Park over the Summer, the Toffees are in rebuild mode and are currently in the process of identifying players to bring in ahead of the 2019/20 season.

As per the report, Inter value the Portuguese midfielder at £15 million (approximately €17 million).

Since his arrival at the club back in 2016 for a club record €45 million, he has ultimately failed to live up to the expectations people had of him.

The report goes on to state that Everton are not the only club currently keeping tabs on the EURO 2016 champion and they face competition from Porto and Monaco for his signature.

The 26-year-old has made 22 appearances across all competitions for Inter this term. In 1168 minutes on the field, he has scored once and tallied three assists.
