Radja Nainggolan’s future at Inter has been thrown into doubt with reports Inter would sell the midfielder for €30 million.
FcInterNews.it last night reported Antonio Conte and Beppe Marotta are adopting a zero-tolerance approach to building the club’s squad for next season, demanding professionalism and ‘no excesses’ from each player.
Inter met with the Belgian’s agent Alessandro Beltrami on Tuesday and confirmed they are contemplating an exit strategy for Nainggolan, although they would require €30 million to avoid making a net loss.
However, Conte is said to be open to keeping him for next season if no such offer happens to arrive.
Nainggolan endured a torrid first season in Milan amid injury problems and disciplinary issues but the 31-year-old does not want to leave Inter after just one campaign.
Were the club to force his hand his dream would be a return to Roma, however it appears a remote possibility despite the departure of sporting director Monchi.
Chinese Super League club Guangzhou Evergrande, managed by former Inter defender Fabio Cannavaro, have also made an offer, but Nainggolan has no interest in moving to Asia.
Arsenal and Manchester United have made approaches in the past and it is plausible they could revive their interest should Inter actively put the player on the transfer market.
