Inter could pay as much as €35 million for Sassuolo midfielder Stefano Sensi if the bonuses in the deal are activated, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio will meet the Neroverdi’s general director Giovanni Carnevali today to finalise their agreement, which includes a loan with option to buy.
Sensi’s initial season-long loan will cost €5 million while the option will be in the region of €20 million, but defender Andrew Gravillon will be in the deal too.
Edoardo Vergani’s decision to reject Sassuolo in favour of other clubs has slowed talks, but it should nonetheless be sorted today.
Sensi made 28 appearances in Serie A for Roberto De Zerbi’s side last season, scoring twice and creating four assists.
Antonio Conte is a big admirer of the 23-year-old and will be counting upon him to improve Inter’s possession play alongside Marcelo Brozovic.
The deal is described as ‘elastic’, meaning it is currently unclear exactly how much Inter will pay.
