Napoli are ready to sign former Inter captain Mauro Icardi who is beginning to warm up to the idea but is yet to fully open up to the prospect, Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia’s transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio reports.
According to the report, even up to as late as a few weeks ago the Argentinian striker completely dismissed the idea of a move to Napoli, but now he is beginning to think about it, given that Napoli have earmarked a high wage in their budget for the former Sampdoria striker as well as a rather heft transfer fee to pay the Nerazzurri.
Meanwhile, Juventus Director Fabio Paratici, met with his agent/wife Wanda Nara asking her to wait until the Bianconeri can offload duo Mario Mandzukic as well as Gonzalo Higuain.
Inter, on their part, prefer selling the player to Napoli as they wish to wrap up the transfer as soon as possible in order to be able to sign his replacement, Romelu Lukaku from Manchester United.
