Ivan Perisic is not for sale at Inter because Antonio Conte wants to use him at wing-back this season, according to Sky Sport.
The Croatian asked to leave the Nerazzurri in January when he had an offer from Arsenal and was widely expected to be sold this summer.
However, Conte wants to try Perisic out in his 3-5-2 system and will not be allowed to depart unless an irrefutable offer arrives.
Perisic’s situation is said to be very different from those concerning Mauro Icardi and Radja Nainggolan, who are both deemed surplus to requirements.
Inter began preseason training under Conte today as they completed the first two sessions of their summer camp in Switzerland.
Lugano will play the Nerazzurri in their first friendly match on Sunday before the first team fly off to Asia for the International Champions Cup.
Icardi and Nainggolan will not feature in the match because neither are part of Conte’s plans moving forward.
