Antonio Conte is starting to lose patience with Inter as he continues to work without any first-choice centre-forwards, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Inter will play Manchester United in their International Champions Cup debut on Saturday, before traveling to Suning’s home city of Nanjing to face arch rivals Juventus.

Conte only has reserves and youngsters to work with in attack, as the Nerazzurri struggle to close deals for Romelu Lukaku and Edin Dzeko.

“Inter’s management have done a great job in signing Stefano Sensi, Valentino Lazaro and Nicolo Barella for their new coach,” Gazzetta reported this morning.

“But the unexpected problems which have arisen for Lukaku and Dzeko, who represent two priorities for Inter this summer, can’t not create a little apprehension in Conte.”

Matteo Politano’s thigh injury and Lautaro Martinez’s extended holidays following the Copa America have created an uncomfortable situation for Conte, as he prepares to face his former club next week.

“The fact the Juventus match will be in Nanjing, where Suning’s boss Zhang Jindong will almost certainly be watching from the stands, raises the bar of expectation in Conte’s mind,” Gazzetta continued.

“He doesn’t want to lose any precious time and he’d like to bring a smile to Mister Suning’s face immediately by beating Juve, having been handed the keys to take Inter back on top of the world.”
