Inter are still struggling to make progress in their bids to sign Romelu Lukaku and Edin Dzeko, according to Tuttosport.
The Nerazzurri have offered Manchester United €60 million plus €5 million in bonuses for Lukaku, but the Red Devils continue to demand €83 million.
That asking price will remain out of reach until Mauro Icardi and some other players are sold, and none appear to be on the verge of leaving.
United would also need time to source a replacement if Lukaku left, and the Premier League’s transfer window closes on 8 August.
Roma are holding out for €15 million to part company with Dzeko, meanwhile, despite the fact the Bosnian has now entered the final year of his deal.
Inter have only offered €12 million so far but it is possible Beppe Marotta will get back in contact with the Giallorossi this weekend, after he flies home from China back to Europe.
Both players have been waiting for their moves to be completed for weeks but neither Dzeko nor Lukaku is any closer to Inter at present.
Lukaku is doing everything to edge himself towards the Nerazzurri, having missed all four of United’s preseason friendlies so far.
Rafael Leao is a third option Inter are considering if neither player can be signed, but at the moment the Lille forward is thought to be an interesting prospect and not much more.
