According to a report from Fox Sports, Boca Juniors have been in contact with Inter striker Mauro Icardi about the possibility of a move to the club.

The Argentine giants offer was however knocked back by Icardi with the report stating the 26-year-old’s wife and agent Wanda Icardi has no interest in a return to Argentina.

Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta recently publicly declared that Icardi – alongside midfielder Radja Nainggolan – was no longer considered as part of the Inter project going forward after the many events of this past season.

Icardi was sent home early from Inter’s pre-season training camp in Lugano, Switzerland and was subsequently omitted from the squad for the ongoing tour of Asia.

Icardi still has two years left to run on his contract with the club, who are understood to value him at around €60 million. Napoli and Juventus have both also been linked with making moves for him this Summer.
