Alessandro Bastoni is confident Inter are already playing like Antonio Conte wants, following the Nerazzurri’s preseason friendly with Paris Saint-Germain.

Samuele Longo’s stoppage-time equaliser secured a 1-1 draw in Macao before Inter won the International Super Cup 6-5 on penalties.

Bastoni started in defence alongside Stefan de Vrij and Milan Skriniar and was pleased with the team’s performance.

“We need these games to get minutes into our legs,” Bastoni told Inter.it.

“It was a very intense match from a physical point of view but we’re happy about how it finished.

“You can see the work Conte is doing with us and we’re getting better day by day.”

Diego Godin made his debut for Inter in the second half and Bastoni was excited about the prospect of playing with him.

“It was great to see him on the pitch with us, he will be a huge help to us,” the centre-back added.

Inter will now return to Europe ahead of their final two friendlies against Tottenham and Valencia.
