Inter are determined to reunite Chile teammates Alexis Sanchez and Arturo Vidal in Milan, according to La Repubblica.

Sanchez is all but certain to complete a move soon despite a delay in talks with Manchester United, who are in less of a hurry than Inter to reach an agreement.

Inter have already sent the Reds the first part of documentation which will form Sanchez’s new contract in Italy.

The Nerazzurri will then turn their attention to Vidal, in the hope Barcelona agree to let the midfielder leave on a free loan.

Inter are keeping their pursuit of Vidal away from the media spotlight so as to not generate excessive expectation among supporters.

Barca could agree to loan out the 32-year-old if Vidal’s teammate Ivan Rakitic does not leave this month, because at that point the former Juventus man would be surplus to requirements.

Inter are also working hard to find a solution for Mauro Icardi’s future but the situation remains unchanged.

Napoli have offered €65 million for the striker but neither Icardi nor his wife and agent Wanda Nara are interested in a move.

Inter remain interested in signing free agent Fernando Llorente, but the former Tottenham forward’s entourage will meet Napoli for talks today and also have interest from United.

Cristiano Biraghi is far closer to signing at the moment, but the full-back needs Dalbert to accept a move to Fiorentina instead of reiterating his preference to rejoin Nice.
