The shortlist for the new Yachine Trophy, which will be awarded as part of the Balon D’or ceremony to the best goalkeeper this past calendar year has been announced with Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic on it.

The Slovenian shot-stopper, who is the current Nerazzurri club captain, is one of 10 goalkeepers to be nominated for the award.

Other nominees for the prize are, Liverpool’s Alisson Becker, Chelsea’s Kepa Arrizabalaga, Manchester City’s Ederson, Tottenham Hotspur’s Hugo Lloris, Bayern Munich’s Manuel Neuer, Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak, Ajax’s André Onana, Juventus’ Wojciech Szczesny and Barcelona’s Marc-André ter Stegen.
