Flamengo vice-president Gabriel Braz is confident that the Mengao will have no problems when it comes to signing Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa on a permanent transfer from Inter.
“We have talked to Inter and the players’ agents. I do not think that we will have problems if Gabriel really wants to stay here. Flamengo will make a strong and satisfying proposal to Inter. I cannot speak for others, only for Flamengo, who will make every effort to keep him,” he said in an interview with Brazilian news outlet Lance!.
The 23-year-old striker joined the Brazilian giants back in January of this year and reports in both Italian and Brazilian media state that Flamengo are ready to make an offer of around €22 million to Inter.
Gabigol has been in simply sensational form and has got his career back on track during the past 10 months at Flamengo. In 47 appearances across all competitions, the Brazilian international has scored a total of 34 goals.
