The Milan city council have declared a conditional a public interest in Inter and AC Milan’s new stadium project which comes with 16 conditions attached according to a report in today’s paper edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.
This has come as no surprise to either club who were expecting to be granted a conditional yes and because of this, they have already began the process of adapting the plans put forward by both Cmr Sportium-Davide Manica and Populous.
Inter and AC Milan also now have to work out how to incorporate San Siro into their plans. Originally they had planned to demolish it entirely but it looks like they will have to keep it standing in some capacity.
Some of the conditions, as per the report, include environmental impact minimisation, guarantees for what would happen if either or both clubs are to change hands and a reduction on how long the two clubs will be given the land for.
