Matias Vecino shared his hurt post-match after Inter’s 3-2 defeat away to Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League group stage.

“It certainly hurts, it is a bad defeat especially after a first half in which we went two goals ahead. In the second half we dropped off too much,” he told broadcaster Sky Sport Italia.

“In the second half we did not manage to keep the ball as well and did not hurt them which led us to play more in our midfield. They are a strong team, they took courage after the first goal, it was difficult and we couldn’t get started again. We still have two games to play and we will try until the end.”

In conclusion he spoke on his personal performance.

“I really wanted to play a good game, I didn’t start the season well, I’m the first to be disappointed. I always try to play my best and be ready. I hope things improve, it’s up to me to get better and ready.”
