Olivier Giroud’s move to Inter is dependent on Matteo Politano’s future with the club according to a report in today’s print edition of Turin newspaper Tuttosport.
The veteran French striker has made his desire to join the Nerazzurri clear and some reports in recent days have suggested that he is close to agreeing personal terms with the club.
In order for the move to happen though, Politano will have to leave the club to make room for him. Politano, much like Giroud has at Chelsea, has fallen down the pecking order this season and whilst he has made 14 appearances across all competitions, just two of those have been starts.
Fiorentina have shown an interest in signing the 26-year-old, who joined Inter on a permanent basis for circa €25 million this past Summer following a successful season long loan from Sassuolo. La Viola had also shown an interest in the Summer but Inter did not wish to sell him then.
